Black Spot (French: Zone Blanche, lit. ‘White Zone‘) is a French-Belgian television supernatural thriller that premiered on France 2 on 10 April 2017, following its debut in February at the 2017 Festival des créations télévisuelles de Luchon. Created by Mathieu Missoffe via co-production of Ego Productions, Be-Films, and RTBF, the series stars Suliane Brahim, Hubert Delattre, and Laurent Capelluto.[1]
Villefranche is a small town without phone reception on the edge of a mysterious forest. The number of inhabitants is dwindling but there’s a sharp rise in crime. Police inspector Laurène, once the victim of a crime herself, keeps on discovering fresh corpses.
In the small bordertown of Villefranche, lost in the heart of a large forest, crime rate is six times higher than elsewhere in the area. Each new crime Major Laurène Weiss solves with the help of her unusual team makes her sink deeper and deeper into secrets of the area.
