The TV show host finishes her season and returns to her hometown. She reconnects with her former sweetheart. Her parents are selling the family restaurant where she learned to cook from her dad and grandmother. There’s a cooking contest, and I could predict the story right until the very end because I’ve seen similar plots many times before.

The acting is okay, and the dialogue is decent but not exceptional. There’s a rival character who seems evil, but it’s mostly just talk.

I really like Erin Cahill, and this is probably her best among her last four Hallmark movies. However, one of those movies was as unoriginal as this one. I don’t think it’s her fault that the stories aren’t great. Why does she keep taking on these less-than-impressive stories? Is she just coasting?

I’ll give this movie an okay rating – 6 stars – and that’s mainly because of my liking for Cahill. I wasn’t impressed with her co-star or their relationship.
